The Grace Outpouring

I had read the book “The Grace Outpouring” by Roy Goodwin which told the story of an amazing place called Ffald-y-Brenin. Ffald-y-Brenin is a beautiful award winning Christian Retreat Centre in the hills by the sea in North Pembrokeshire, Southwest Wales, UK. For a personal retreat, I drove the five hours west to stay in a local hostel and spend time on the retreat center property for the weekend. It was traditional UK weather, cold, windy and grey – but God was there in the silence. I remember distinctively during one of the simple morning chapel services – I briefly saw Christ standing across from me in the room. In that moment every question that had been swirling in my mind and spirit – just stilled. The emotions that overwhelmed me were a sense of just wanting to be completely vulnerable and pour it all out at His feet. I just sensed that in His presence – I had no questions. They didn’t matter. Everything was at rest and at peace. It was that experience that started to teach me more about intimacy and stillness.
